Jahaziel Roman Alvarez (J Roman) is a self taught photographer based in Cleveland, Ohio. His work focuses on documenting real, unposed moments of everyday life, with a focus on honest, quiet beauty, little discoveries, unseen details and a constant search for new perspectives of otherwise everyday scenes.

Born in Miami, to Cuban immigrant parents, Jahaziel took to photography at a very young age with his first camera, a Micro 110. Through the years photography was mostly a passing hobby, documenting travels and moments with family and friends. Over time that hobby has become an artistic pursuit, as he works on refining his vision.

As he continues to learn the craft, he enjoys sharing his work with a wider audience through social media, this website and limited prints available soon.
